Somos Providencia continues to bet on education and peaceful coexistence.

In Somos Providencia, we work as a team to continue supporting this process from different perspectives, creating spaces and opportunities for the community.

We know that the welfare of the community of Providencia is important, so this time, TAAP Foundation in alliance with the University of La Salle and its volunteer psychologists, we conducted psychosocial care activities in groups of young people from the Junín School to strengthen their recognition of their role in the reconstruction of the island.

We also had the opportunity to conduct a new session of Artetecas para la paz with the children of the fifth (5th) grade of the Bomboná Educational Institute, in the Suroeste sector. During this session we touched on topics focused on Human Rights, their importance and the connotation that they have for the proper development of their childhood.

We firmly believe in these spaces of knowledge and exchange of thought that we are generating. For this reason, we continue to offer teachers on the island the necessary training with our peaceful coexistence workshop.

After the force of Hurricane Lota hit this community, some coexistence processes took a very negative turn, today, children are living Bullying in a dangerous and very unpleasant way, generating problems that require psychosocial attention.

Through the Artetecas that we carry out, we want to achieve safe spaces where living together in a peaceful and united way is the main teaching, together with the respect and hope that all children, teachers and their families deserve to have.
