Goleadoras is a training program that allows girls and young women to develop their social-emotional skills, increase their physical well-being, self-esteem, leadership and their role as agents of change, all through the practice of soccer.
The Goleadoras field program has been designed to develop weekly work sessions of 90 minutes for 26 weeks a year.
At the end of 2021, Goleadoras was launched for the first time in Colombia, specifically in the city of Condoto, Department of El Chocó. On this occasion, our pedagogical coordinator, María Eugenia “Maru” Juárez, worked on the training of the coaches and a social worker, who would be responsible for the execution of the program’s contents and activities.
So far, the coaches and participants have demonstrated their commitment and the necessary discipline to start implementing the first stage of the Goleadoras program. In this way, we hope to continue working on the development of the different soft skills that will have an impact on the personal wellbeing of the girls and young women beneficiaries.
Currently, the program is completing its first stage and to celebrate it, the Executive Director of Goleadoras, Eglantina Zingg, will give a motivational talk to the Goleadoras at the María Auxiliadora school on June 8. All the girls and adolescents of this educational community are also invited to this celebration.
Por último, esperamos iniciar la segunda etapa del programa en el mes de junio, gracias a la poderosa alianza existente entre la Alcaldía de Condoto, la Fundación TAAP y Goleadoras.
